Our work: re-source

We had many attempts to write down ‘where we are coming from’, ‘where we are going’ or ‘our approach’. All of those phrases seem not quite accurate. Yet, there is a wish on our part to articulate something about what informs us. Our struggle has been to find the right words to give expression to all the threads that we are continually weaving. All we know is that in certain moments, aspects of our ground become figure, they meet, fuse and give rise to a new integrated whole. In our search for suitable words, we  re-sourced to bring forward the possibility of having a go at articulating what sits at the core that holds us. This is such an attempt.

At the heart is what is happening in the here and now. Our experiencing of what is ‘true’ in a given moment in time acts as a guide for us to proceed. In this context, we value and have an awareness of the quality of happenings which requires a quality of ‘being with’ our environment- a deep appreciation of and attending to the nature of ‘what is’. In this space and place (splace), if we are open to and are receptive to all that is available to us, we place ourselves in a position to pre-sense unique co-created unfoldings. For us, this affords a glimpse into possibilities which are often on the edge of awareness- sometimes called ‘insights’. To us, this way of being is connected to deep learning and growth.

Neither of us have chosen an easy life. In fact, when we reflected on our path to becoming who we are today, we realised that we have placed a premium on ‘walking the talk’. Through enactive learning, inquiry and being curious, we have placed ourselves on an ever-evolving developing edge where we are always in the process of becoming. It is not a comfortable place but one in which we are most creative- most alive.
